Which Wire Goes Where

Here's a link from our website for the comprehensive wiring diagram when installing a T-1806GHH-A13 head unit, featuring instructions for three different types of factory head unit backshttps://vhedia.com.au/wp-content/uploads/2026/01/T-1806GHH-A13-FINAL.pdf

This guide runs through every plug, cable, and harness so you know exactly where everything goes.

Because the Sahara has more plugs than most vehicles, this walkthrough helps you double-check each connection — the most common cause of install issues.

What You’ll Learn:

  • Identifying the different Sahara plug variations

  • Matching factory plugs to the Vhedia harness

  • Connecting the CANBUS boxes + secondary harness

  • Radio, camera, USB, and main power plugs

  • Which plugs you don’t use (and why)

  • How to connect everything at the head unit side

  • What to test after wiring (sound, reverse camera, SWC, AC controls)

  • Perfect for new installers and DIYers — follow along and tick off each plug as you go

Video Guide:

If you need help or troubleshooting, just send us photos of your wiring from multiple angles and we’ll get you sorted.

This guide provides the correct wiring setup for a Toyota LandCruiser 200 Series Sahara (2007–2015) with a single camera system. Refer to the wiring diagram photos and video guide below to ensure proper connection of all cables and plugs.

If you have a Toyota LandCruiser Sahara (2007–2015) but only have one camera (reverse camera), then you’ll need to run our aftermarket camera instead of using the factory camera system.

Common Issues & Fixes

AC Resetting When Changing Temperature or Fan Speed

When installing this head unit, you need to connect the TEMP cable correctly to prevent any issues with the factory settings/controls of the vehicle such as AC Temperature. The TEMP cable included in the kit comes with two plugs: a 10-pin plug and an 8-pin plug. The correct plug to use depends on your factory head unit.

BlockNote image
Check your factory head unit and connect the appropriate plug as follows:

If your factory head unit looks like this, use the 10-pin plug:

If your factory head unit looks like this, use the 8-pin plug:

Use only one plug. If your vehicle has two factory plugs that fit, select the correct one as per the instructions above.

Installation Steps

  1. Locate the TEMP cable in the kit.

  2. Identify whether your factory head unit requires the 10-pin or 8-pin plug.

  3. Insert the corresponding plug into the designated AC temperature port.

  4. Ensure the connection is secure before proceeding with the installation of the head unit.
